Dear readers,
Over the next few weeks, you are going to notice some changes at We the People United! I am updating the publication’s layout, organization, and the way I present both free and paid content.
The goal is simple: to make the publication easier to navigate, more professional in appearance, and clearer about what readers can expect.
What is not changing is the mission.
I will continue writing about politics, history, democracy, civic responsibility, misinformation, leadership, and the issues affecting our country. I will continue asking difficult questions, examining evidence, providing historical context, and challenging all of us—including myself—to think rather than simply react.
Whether you are a free or paid subscriber, there will continue to be substantial, thoughtful material for you to read, consider, discuss, and occasionally disagree with.
You may see a cleaner homepage, better organization of articles, clearer sections, and some new features for paid members. Free subscribers will continue receiving meaningful essays and commentary. Paid members will receive additional deeper analysis, member briefings, and other material designed to make membership genuinely worthwhile.
This is not about putting everything behind a paywall. I want We the People United! to continue reaching people, encouraging discussion, and contributing something worthwhile to our national conversation.
I am making these changes because this community has grown, and the publication should grow with it.
More than 10,000 of you have chosen to subscribe. I do not take that for granted. Whether you have been here from the beginning or joined recently, I appreciate the fact that you have invited my writing into your inbox.
The appearance may change a little. The organization may improve. Some new features are coming.
But the commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based writing—and to giving you something worth reading and thinking about—will remain exactly where it has always been.
Thank you for reading, for thinking, and for being part of We the People United!
Dr. John Petrone
